A collaboration between Harmen Meinsma and Alain Tjiong

During the COVID-19 lockdown social distance became the new norm. People worked from home, clubs and cafes remained closed, life came to a stand still. This was especially difficult for adolescents whose social cultural activities is an essential part of their development and their identity.  

In collaboration with art space WORM photographer Harmen Meinsma decided to host multiple studio sessions with the new generation of club kids, a group of expressive characters and queens of the night.

These studio sessions transformed into a performative space filled with shared creativity and connections.

This filmic portrait delves into the spirit of the underground and the unique beauties of these fabulous creatures of the night.
